Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

Slow!


Hey guys, Long time no activity, I know *sigh*

Okay, so first of all just writing a journal to let you guys who are on the waiting list to receive your commissions, that I'm going to have them done really soon, and sorry for the wait - I though I'd have time to finish them quickly, but alas; time is a bitch, and I run out of it far too quickly nowadays :dead:
Once those are out of the way though, I plan on opening commissions again...maybe even commissions for other animals and things such as Anthros? *shrug: If anyone would be interested that is. I'd be uploading those on my other non-horse-related account anyway :meow: ~AliceParkes <-- *points* not much posted there yet, but soon.....

Next thing I wanted to mention, I'm trying to use my Tumblr account more, but most days I have nothing decent to upload, so I figured I would ask you guys if you had any questions to ask me or even better, my characters! To go ahead and ask me over on Tumblr; and I shall respond with an answer and/or a quick doodle of one of the TotH herd answering it :la: :heart:

As for Toth, I'm seriously wanting to continue with it, and I definitely will; but it's likely that I'm going to have to wait until I get my new Mac, because I doubt my Laptop will be able to handle the huge files I create for each page, and using my desktop computer isn't an option as it's back at home. *sigh* I'll keep you guys updated if I do start to work on it though ^_^
