Hey guys, I took some time off from college work and sewing (lol!) to work on the issue 2 cover for a bit. I did the original drawing of the foal last year some time, so I updated to look of the sketch and roughed in a background to try and get a 'feel' of the final picture. I'm quite happy with how it looks so far, but any suggestions on how I could improve the layout, or what to add/take away for the final draft would be appreciated. (bare in mind this is very rough, and the sketchy-ness will be eradicated in the final version!) 
I was thinking of maybe putting a faded image of flash's eyes/face in the background, blended with the sky....what do you think? I'll probably tweak Troys expression too...
Hopefully, once I've got my final major project for college out of the way, I'll be able to finish off the missing pages for issue 1 and get started on issue two
But....for now, I'm sorry about my inactivity. I'll probably write a journal later, explaining what's been happening in my life lately!

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI think it is wonderful, and all your art is amazing which is why I look, but the lines that indicate shading really throw me off, I don't know why it just looks strange and his left back leg looks grey, again the shading lines.
With the black scribbles around the hoof prints, I think that the picture would look good without it.
Otherwise it is really good, I love the snow and the dark sky and the way his mane and tail are blown to one side, it really gives the dramatic affect, overall it is good, though I like your original style better, this one isn't that bad and I can't wait to see the comics!
