I know, I didn't have much time on the video to do much because of the time limit :dead: But heres a little preview of me lining a panel from the next page of ToTH :) I didn't video the sketch because that was done ages ago, traditionally :P But I'll video me sketching one day - perhaps get a better screen recorded and time elapse an entire drawing...hmm :plotting:

I'll upload a bit of colouring, shading and background so you guys have an idea of how I work a little more ^^ One day, I'll make a tutorial explaining how I make my comics!

P.S sorry it's so big, it seems it recorded the same screen size as my monitor

Enjoy

Very nice! I thought the pen tool might have somehow been involved because your lines are always so crisp. I'm just that little bit more impressed now. :aww:
Just a thought; why don't you upload to Youtube? It's resizable and you can have a longer video.

Wow, do you just have a regular tablet? Because your linework is hella smooth for freehand. And forgive me but is your tool actually a square? Or is that some fancy recording aid so we can see where your courser is?

Thank you :) I do, I use a wacom bamboo! I'm saving for a more expensive model - I'd love an on screen one but I probably won't end up getting one of those because of the price tag :XD:

No, it's a circle - I have no idea why it came up like that on the recording  It's just the basic cirle brush thats default on PS :)

Thanks! :D
Hmm, no - I try and avoid using the pen tool unless I have a very long slighty curved line to draw - just to avoid wobbles! I find the pen tool makes it look...I'm not sure - less alive...or something - mass produced maybe? :XD:

I don't! But I'd love to try - do you need any screen recording software for that? :)

ah, yes, that makes sense :XD: i think they do use the pen tool for animation :plotting:

no, not software per se - it's a small free platform download like you have to get for AIM and the like. its definitely worth while :aww:

What type of brush do you use? Mine is really fuzzy when I put it on 3 pixels.
Reply
:iconwild-hearts:
Wild-Hearts Featured By Owner Aug 2, 2011  Student General Artist
Just the default circle brush - the less fuzzy of the two! Make sure you put spacing to zero and hardness at the max to get a nice clean, non-fuzzy line :) Oh, and make sure your image is large enough too :)

LOL I like large images. Mine are always about 1000 pixels by 650-900 pixels.
